These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and 99Cupid ("99Cupid", "we", "us" or "our") and govern your access to and use of the 99Cupid mobile application, website and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use 99Cupid. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older, that you can form a legally binding contract, and that you are not barred from using the Service under the laws applicable to you. 99Cupid is intended for adults seeking genuine connections and is not directed to children.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You may create only one account, and your account is personal to you — you may not transfer or share it.
- You must provide accurate, current and complete information, including genuine photos of yourself, and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use
99Cupid only works when everyone is respectful and honest. When using the Service, you agree that you will not:
- Impersonate anyone, misrepresent your age or identity, or create a fake or misleading profile;
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, defame or intimidate other members;
- Post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, violent, or that depicts minors;
- Solicit money, advertise, spam, run scams, or promote commercial activity;
- Share other members' private information without their consent;
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including human trafficking or prostitution;
- Attempt to access, scrape, reverse-engineer, disrupt or overload the Service or its security features.
You can report inappropriate behaviour or content directly in the app. We may investigate and take action, including removing content and suspending or terminating accounts.
4. Safety
Your safety matters to us, but you are responsible for your own interactions. 99Cupid does not conduct criminal background checks on members and cannot guarantee the conduct or identity of any member. Always use good judgement: meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to people you meet on the Service. If you ever feel unsafe, contact your local authorities.
5. Coins, Purchases & Subscriptions
- Some features require virtual items ("coins" or "diamonds") or paid subscriptions. Prices are shown before you buy.
- Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Virtual items have no real-world monetary value and are non-transferable.
- Except where required by law or by the applicable app-store policy, purchases are non-refundable and unused virtual items are non-redeemable for cash.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your app-store account settings.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of the photos, text and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant 99Cupid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, logos and trademarks, is owned by 99Cupid and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works of the Service.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or for any lawful reason. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as content licences, disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that you will find a match or compatible person.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 99Cupid and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or from any interaction with another member, whether online or in person.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
