This Privacy Policy explains how 99Cupid ("99Cupid", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use the 99Cupid mobile application, website and related services (the "Service"). By using 99Cupid, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account & profile details — name, date of birth, gender, email or phone number, password, photos, bio, interests, relationship goals, religion and languages.
• Verification data — selfies or photos you submit for profile verification.
• Content — messages, prompts, and other content you share through the Service.
• Support & payments — information you give us when you contact support or make in-app purchases (purchases are processed by Apple or Google; we do not store your full card details).

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — how you interact with the Service, such as swipes, matches and features used.
• Device & technical data — device model, operating system, app version, identifiers and IP address.
• Approximate location — derived from your device or IP to show you nearby members and relevant matches. You can control location permissions in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and provide the core matchmaking Service;
• To suggest compatible people and personalise your experience;
• To verify profiles and help keep the community safe and authentic;
• To process purchases and deliver virtual items and subscriptions;
• To send service-related notifications and, where permitted, updates and offers;
• To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms;
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• With other members — your public profile (photos, first name, age, bio and similar details) is visible to other members as part of how matchmaking works.
• With service providers — trusted vendors who help us with hosting, analytics, push notifications and payments, under confidentiality obligations.
• For legal reasons — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of 99Cupid, our members or the public.
• In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & update — you can view and edit your profile information at any time in the app.
• Permissions — you can control location, camera, photo and notification permissions in your device settings.
• Marketing — you can opt out of promotional messages while still receiving essential service notifications.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → Delete Account. When you delete your account, we remove your profile from the Service and delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements. We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy.

6. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account by using a strong password and keeping it confidential.

7. Children's Privacy

99Cupid is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it and close the account. If you believe a minor is using the Service, please contact us.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this Policy and applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Policy.
