Community Guidelines

99Cupid exists so people can meet across borders. That only works if it stays a place where people feel safe being themselves. These guidelines are the rules for that. They form part of our Terms of Service, and breaking them can cost you your account.

Be who you say you are

Use your own photos, recent ones, that clearly show you.
Give your real age. Misstating it is grounds for removal.
Don't impersonate anyone, real or invented.
One account per person.

Never ask another member for money

This is the rule we enforce hardest

Asking members for money, gifts, cards, cryptocurrency, bank or wallet details, or investment of any kind is prohibited without exception. So is directing someone to an outside site to send money, or telling a story designed to prompt it, such as a medical emergency, a travel cost, a customs fee, a visa payment.

Accounts that do this are removed on the first report we can substantiate. If you are asked for money by another member, do not send it, and report them.

Treat people decently

No harassment, threats, stalking, or repeated contact after someone has stopped replying.
No hate speech or slurs, and no attacks on someone's race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
No sexual content in profiles, and no sexual messages to someone who hasn't indicated they want them.
No sharing another member's photos, messages, or private details outside 99Cupid.

We are aware that international dating carries stereotypes about the people on both sides of it. Talking to another member as though those stereotypes are true (as a category rather than a person) is a form of harassment, and we treat it as one.

Not allowed at all

Anyone under 18, in any capacity. Any content involving a minor is reported to the authorities.
Escort work, sex work, or any commercial sexual service.
Advertising, recruiting, multi-level marketing, or promoting another platform.
Selling or trading anything.
Content that is violent, graphic, or promotes self-harm.
Bots, scripts, scrapers, or bulk automated messaging.

Reporting

Every profile and conversation has a report option. You can also email admin@99cupid.com. Tell us what happened and include screenshots if you have them.

We review every report. We do not tell the person who reported them. Blocking someone is always available to you and takes effect immediately.

What happens when someone breaks these rules

Depending on what happened, we may remove the content, issue a warning, limit the account, or remove it permanently. Requests for money, content involving minors, threats of violence, and impersonation result in immediate permanent removal without warning.
